The Australian digital advertising market has continued its growth at pace, reaching $3.232bn for the September quarter 2021, up 42.1% year on year. The data which is drawn from the IAB Australia Online Advertising Expenditure Report (OAER) prepared by PwC, shows that retail remains the leading advertiser category and that video is continuing to be the overall star.
Industry association IAB Australia has issued an urgent call to action for brands, agencies, ad verification firms, and other companies in the digital advertising supply chain to stop blocking the news. The call comes as many brand and agency teams have mistakenly updated their programmatic and all other media buying to prevent any advertising surrounded by topics including “crisis,” “COVID-19,” and “coronavirus”.
IAB Australia today announced that it has appointed Gai Le Roy as CEO. The appointment follows a four-month executive recruitment process, during which Le Roy was interim CEO.
