MNF Enterprise to provide telephony and IP-based telecommunications services to the Tasmanian Government

New agreement builds on current supply of voice carriage services to the Tasmanian Government

MNF Enterprise, a provider of new-generation hosted communications services and part of the MNF Group, has been selected as a preferred supplier to the Tasmanian Government for telephony and IP-based services, adding to its previous tender wins in Tasmania

Under the new contract, MNF Enterprise (trading name of MyNetFone Australia Pty Ltd) was selected, along with three other carriers, to be a supplier to the state Government’s Telephony and Mobile Data panel. The deal provides the Tasmanian Government with an alternative IP telephony platform. This platform can be used to replace PSTN as well as offering a wide range of Over The Top services such as audio and web conferencing, SMS portal, and eFax which will support the Government’s migration to the NBN.

The MNF Group has a long history with the Tasmanian Government, working together since 2012 to provide Voice Carriage Services in the form of high capacity SIP trunking and other value add services under an exclusive supplier contract which continues through to 2022. It has also provided the Tasmanian Government with a new State-based number range in the form of 49,000 new sequential numbers from which the government can utilise a 5-digit ‘whole of government’ number plan.

“MNF Enterprise has become a prominent player in the government space. This agreement builds on the services we already supply to the Tasmanian Government and follows a win earlier this year with the Victorian Government,” MNF Group founder and CEO Rene Sugo said. “We have a strong track record for delivering quality services to the government sector and our traction in this space is a reflection of the high regard in which we are held.”

In February 2017, MNF was appointed to the Voice Services Panel for the Victorian Government.

MNF Enterprise currently holds the following government certifications: Victorian Government Telecommunication Purchasing and Management Strategy 2025 (TPAMS2025), Municipal Association of Victoria (MAV), Western Australian Local Government Association (WALGA), NSW Procurement ICT Services Scheme, Queensland Government IT&T Procurement Panel and Tasmanian Government.

MNF Group added the MNF Enterprise brand to their portfolio in November last year. The MNF Enterprise brand was introduced to differentiate the company’s growing suite of enterprise and government products and services from the MyNetFone residential and small business offer. Enterprise and government solutions were previously a sub-segment of the MyNetFone brand.
