Primus Telecommunications Group, Incorporated (“PTGi”), a global facilities-based integrated provider of advanced telecommunications products and services, announced today that it has named Richard Baumfield acting head of its Australian operations[1] (“Primus Australia”) effective July 13. Mr. Baumfield, who will also serve on Primus Australia’s board of directors, temporarily takes over from Ravi Bhatia, Managing Director and CEO, who is retiring to pursue other professional interests and will continue to work with Primus Australia as an advisor. PTGi expects to appoint a permanent head of Primus Australia by the end of the third quarter.
