Jon Cleaver appointed Chief Executive, Wholesale and Iain Falshaw appointed Chief Executive, Direct
MNF Group, operator of Australian and global smart communication networks, today announces changes to its executive leadership team that will allow it to execute on its high growth opportunities and regional expansion strategy into the Asia-Pacific region. In recent years, the company has successfully grown both the Wholesale and Direct segments of the business and believes that with the burgeoning opportunities across both markets, the new structure will enable the company to strengthen its focus and maximise growth.
“I am pleased to announce the addition of two key roles to the MNF Group executive team. The company is experiencing exceptional organic growth across both its direct and wholesale customer bases. These new roles will ensure there is strong focus and commitment directly on the areas of the business that will drive long-term growth,” Rene Sugo, MNF Group Co-Founder and Group CEO said.
Jon Cleaver will take the newly created position of Chief Executive Wholesale, spanning both the Domestic and Global wholesale markets through the Symbio, Telcoinabox and TNZI brands. Cleaver has been with MNF Group for 8 years, having most recently served as the Chief Commercial Officer for the past 6 years.
"Having been in the wholesale telecoms market for over 15 years, I’ve witnessed plenty of developments in this area. However, with the current technology disruption, I believe the opportunity for pronounced and genuine change has never been greater. We are uniquely positioned to maximise this growth within Australia and further into Asia Pacific whilst also transforming the global business and unlocking recurring revenue models," Jon Cleaver, MNF Group Chief Executive Wholesale said.
With the recent integration of Telcoinabox rounding out the product suite, MNF Group has a clear and continued growth strategy within the wholesale segment moving forward. The company intends to utilise its modern carrier voice network and software platforms in order to power an unprecedented demand from software and telecom providers across the Asia-Pacific region.
Iain Falshaw will lead the retail business in the newly created position of Chief Executive Direct, which covers the Consumer, Small and Medium Business and Enterprise segments. Falshaw joined MNF Group following the acquisition of Telcoinabox 12 months ago, where he served in an executive role driving product management and development, wholesale relationship growth and oversaw the operations function.
He brings close to 30 years of experience to MNF Group, including senior positions at Optus and Cable and Wireless, as well as playing a founding role in the setup of ACN Pacific in Australia and New Zealand. Having helped to conceive and launch Telcoinabox’s cloud PBX solution, ConnectYou, Falshaw has proven experience in exploiting the opportunities afforded by new technologies and cloud-based solutions.
“As the market continues to shift to a mobile-first mindset, and demand for Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) keeps growing significantly, I’m excited about the growth opportunities this presents across MNF Group’s Direct segment,” Iain Falshaw, Chief Executive Direct for MNF Group said.
The recent cease sale of legacy PSTN and ISDN services is opening the doors for consumers, businesses and government departments alike to migrate to VoIP and UCaaS services. With MNF Group’s global customers seeing 23 percent year-on-year (YoY) organic growth in this space, and domestic wholesale customers seeing 30 percent YoY growth, it’s an exciting time for MNF Group to take advantage of this once-in-a-generation opportunity.
MNF Group intends to use the appointments of this pair of dedicated executives for the wholesale and direct segments to maximise its opportunities and growth in these areas well into the future.
