Inspur to incorporate Brocade SAN fabric technology in their innovative I9000 Blade System
As part of a new partnership with Inspur Group, a top cloud-based infrastructure provider in China, Brocade (NASDAQ: BRCD) today announced the extension of its storage networking leadership with Inspur’s new generation of Inspur I9000 blade servers. The partnership aims to address the increasing demand for mission-critical, high-performance storage networks that are required for social, mobile, and analytic deployments in China, particularly across industry verticals such as banking and finance, energy, and telecommunications.
As part of the partnership, Inspur will integrate Brocade® Fibre Channel Storage Area Network (SAN) switches, featuring Gen 5 Fibre Channel technology, with its I9000 Blade System. The embedded Fibre Channel SAN product will be sold as an Inspur offering, and will support up to 48 ports with 16 Gbps Fibre Channel capabilities for high-performance data center networking solutions, including trunking and storage distance extension.
Inspur customers will benefit from deploying the integrated solution, which will provide unprecedented insight and visibility across storage networks with powerful built-in monitoring, management, and diagnostic tools for simplified operations. Customers of the Inspur I9000 Blade System with the embedded Brocade Fibre Channel SAN switches can expect high-quality service, the lowest possible downtime, reduced operating costs for end users, and long-term investment protection.
“Our partnership with Inspur will empower customers to optimise their SAN performance, improve productivity, and increase data center efficiency at a lower cost and in the most reliable manner,” said Harry Ault, vice president for Global Partner, Brocade. “With the combination of our Gen 5 Fibre Channel solutions and Inspur’s innovative I9000 Blade System, we are confident in providing organisations in China with a strong and reliable storage networking infrastructure.”
“As the leader in SAN fabric technology, Brocade is the partner of choice in helping Inspur meet the growing need for next-generation storage architecture,” said Peng Zhen, Vice President, Inspur Group. “Brocade Fabric Vision technology, which is a critical component of Gen 5 Fibre Channel, not only enables the seamless integration between the two companies’ offerings, but also provides our customers with deeper visibility into their networks to reduce operational costs, maximise application performance, and protect their investment in Fibre Channel SANs.”
The Inspur I9000 Blade System featuring embedded Brocade Fibre Channel SAN switches will be available in China as of January 2016.
