Primus CEO Tom Mazerski comments on Primus Australia Results: Calls them a "Black Caviar Moment"

"I wasn't too certain of what I would find when I walked through the doors mid 2011 but as it turns out I have the privilege of leading one of the best teams I have ever been involved with. There is no doubt that the results we achieved in the second half of the year are a true reflection of the extremely hard working and dedicated employees we have at Primus.

“I believe the results, which have continued to build month after month in what I call our 'Black Caviar' run, can also be attributed to the numerous process changes, new products that we have now implemented and most of all our employees hearts are clearly in it to win and to keep customers.

"In the consumer division our new 'first call resolution' process has reduced the number of repeat calls into our centre, while our 'laser marketing' strategy and grass roots 'kitchen table' marketing approaches have seen a uplift in our 'on net' customer base where profitability is highest. The introduction of our new 'No Worries Mobile' offer has seen an uplift of our mobile customer base by some 15 percent and we have developed a 'True Fibre Voice' product that is now working with other fibre providers including OptiComm and Places Victoria.

"Looking ahead we are readying our 'No Worries Broadband' offer for market and are poised ready with our new 'Home Fibre' services as NBN accelerates its roll-out over the coming months," said Mazerski.

“In the corporate market we launched our state-of-the-art low latency and redundant Metro Fibre Rings which has provided a strong competitive advantage for us with high average revenue per user as we focus more on the mid and high end business market.

“It's fair to say that the Primus you see today is a markedly changed organisation and one that has firmed its mark on the Australian marketplace in the last eight months,” concluded Mazerski.
