Communications Alliance today welcomed the announcement by Telstra of a range of new tools to enable its mobile data customers to better manage their monthly spend.
Communications Alliance CEO, John Stanton, said the Telstra initiative is a welcome addition to the suite of spend management tools being employed by many service providers in the Australian industry to prevent so-called “bill shock”.
He said the new Telstra tools were in line with the stronger focus on spend management tools in the draft revised Telecommunications Consumer Protections (TCP) Code, which has been developed by industry and consumer representatives over the past 12 months and is soon to be released for public comment.
