Meltwater Expands Partnerships with X and Reddit, Elevating Media Intelligence Solutions


Meltwater, a leading global provider of media, social, and consumer intelligence, today announced expanded partnerships with two of the world’s largest social platforms, X and Reddit. These strategic collaborations will significantly enhance Meltwater's media intelligence offerings, providing customers with unparalleled access to diverse and authentic conversations happening online.

The announcement comes at a time in the Australian market when engagement with these platforms is on the rise. Recent data from the July 2024 Meltwater Global Digital Trends report revealed that Reddit has also established itself as a major player in Australia, ranking third globally in potential ad reach among users aged 13 and older, with Australian users dedicating an average of 3 hours and 14 minutes monthly to the app and opening it 63.2 times.  The report also found Australian users are increasingly active on X, spending an average of 3.1 hours per month, up from 2.44 hours from the previous quarter, and opening it 74.8 times each month.

As part of the expanded partnership with X, Meltwater has secured resyndication rights and is now the first partner in the western hemisphere to deliver full-text content via API, enabling customers the ability to access and utilise X's full-text content through its API. This development is particularly beneficial for customers who require more advanced data analysis and insights.

Under the enhanced partnership with Reddit, Meltwater customers will be able to tap into a vast wealth of public conversations across Reddit's 100,000+ active communities, enhancing their ability to track trends and consumer sentiment, further empowering its customers with actionable intelligence on their brand, competitors, consumers and trending topics.
